The HEM Networking discussion group on YahooGroups is sponsored by Home Education Magazine (HEM) for networking and communication within the online homeschooling community. All topics of interest to homeschoolers are welcome and encouraged; the usual rules of common sense and courteous interaction should be applied when responding to other group members.
Founded in 1999, the HEM Networking group currently has close to 1,500 members, making it one of the oldest and longest-running online communities for homeschoolers on the Internet. Recent topics of discussion have included homeschoolers going to college, allegorical stories on education, a Swedish family's legal nightmare, and an update on author John Taylor Gatto's recovery from his recent stroke.
Joining is free and simple, and the HEM Networking group always welcomes new voices and perspectives.
